Dr Daya Venkat (D. Venkata Subramanian) is a highly experienced Postdoctoral Researcher at Christ University, Bangalore, and a Guest Faculty for BITS, Crescent School of Business. With over 29 years of work experience, he has spent more than 15 years in the IT/ITES fields, including consulting tenure with industries in India, the US, Singapore, Korea, UK, Japan, Canada, Thailand, and Malaysia. His academic stint as Dean, Professor, and Researcher spans over 14 years (Full Time & Part Time). Dr Venkat's expertise lies in providing consultancy and training services for Database Systems, Big Data, AI, Machine Learning, and ITIL processes for corporate clients in India and abroad. He has conducted expertise training for professionals working in IBM INFORMIX, IBM DB2 UDB(LUW), Oracle 19C RAC/NON RAC, SQL-SERVER, MYSQL, MARIADB, POSTGRES, INGRES, MONGODB & HADOOP. He is adept at Unix Systems, Shell Scripting, Systems, Database Application Development, Administration & Performance Tuning. Dr Venkat is a passionate teacher who loves to make his students/participants enjoy their classes/sessions while gaining practical experience. He has been awarded "the Best Inspiring Teacher (Dr. A.P.J ABDUL KHALAM)" by IET CLN (2016) and has produced 2 PhD candidates while currently mentoring 5 such scholars. He has published 100+ research papers, filed 4 patents, published a textbook and 4 international book chapters. Dr Venkat's research interests revolve around Data Science, KMS, IoT, Cloud, and Web Services. He is certified in IBM Db2, IBM Informix, MDM Infosphere, Hadoop, Mongodb, R Programming, ITIL V2/V3, and Machine learning. He has strong expertise in developing database application codes in IBM Informix ESQL-C and Oracle Pro*C and ML codes in python.
